I have booked my wedding at a restaurant that already has an event co-ordinator, why do I need a wedding planner as well?

Many venues do have their own onsite event co-ordinators, however these co-ordinators only look after the food & beverage side of your wedding ie menus & wine choices, venue floor plan and timeline at the reception; Some of them even double as waitresses on the night! Therefore who is making sure that your guestbook is being signed, the band & music is cued, parents & MC are guided with speeches and are having a good time, the toilets are clean, candles are continually lit, there is a knife for you to cut the cake, wedding gifts taken home and hotel room all pretty for your arrival home? As well as this, your wedding planner oversees all the other details as well - hair & make up, flowers, ceremony arrangements, music, decorations, photography, itineraries for the entire day not just the reception. 

What is the difference between a Professional Wedding Planner than a company who does it all inhouse with their own Wedding Co-ordinators?

A Professional Wedding Planner has specifically been trained in event & wedding management. They have gone to University or further to study this specific field and have a natural passion for organisation & perfection. For flowers, cakes, photographers etc we prefer to use Wedding Professionals who are trained in their field; This ensures that the professionals have focus on their area and we have our focus on you and all arrangements for the lead up and on the day. At each wedding you have a dedicated Wedding Planner and their assistant for the entire day. We oversee ALL your arrangements while you are sipping champagne and relaxing. There are cheaper alternatives who claim to co-ordinate weddings, however a professional company spends the time and effort on communication, details, systems and results rather than trying to do it all. Our philosophy - it is better to do one thing really well than lots of things half hearted! 

Why should I bother using a wedding planner if we can look up the Internet and organise everything ourselves?

Sure you can arrange everything yourself but what will you end up with? In some cases you don’t know the florists, hair & make up artists, photographer, Marriage Celebrants or any other services you are interested in. And choosing the suppliers is the easy task, making sure they all work together as well as checking things like what they wear, what they NEED to provide for you and logistics of deliveries, pick ups as well as wet weather plans can be far too much to bear!
We always have a backup plan and backup providers who quickly can jump in if something unforeseen happens.
Our service ensures that all checks are in place and whether you use our recommended wedding professionals or choose your own, we have worked with them all to know what needs to be done and will co-ordinate your wedding, your way.
