kelly nico | Weddings of Noosa
Our wedding day was absolutely a dream. We still giggle when we talk about it as if it was a fairytale or happened to someone else.

We were treated like royalty by everyone – Corrine, Kim, Evalyn, Liz, Jodi, Dave and Veronica and Father Jack - which just made the day even more special.

Dear Corrine,

We cannot thank you enough for making our day so perfect. Perfect weather, perfect venues, perfect everything!

And you made organising our wedding from Switzerland a breeze.

We wanted an elegant day with close family and friends from around the world and that is exactly what we had. The Plantation is the most perfect place – you saw my reaction when I first saw it the day before! The first of many happy tears.

Everyone involved in the day was just so wonderful – Kim, Evalyn, Father Jack, Liz, Veronica and Dave, and of course Jodi, whose photos are just spectacular.

We really cannot thank you enough!

Kelly and Nico were married in Noosa on Friday 24th April 2009. After living in Switzerland for the last few years, Kelly wanted to travel home to be married, with 45 family and friends travelling from all over the world to share in their very special day.

Planning a wedding from a distance can be a little daunting, but many an email and phone call was exchanged, as well as meetings with Kelly's parents, brother and sister-in-law to make sure Kelly and Nico's dreams came to reality. I think this was achieved on Kelly and Nico's first viewing of their accommodation and reception venue - The Plantation - a couple of days before their wedding, when at first a very excitable Kelly suddenly went quiet and put on her sunglasses - only to hide the tears of immense happiness and joy she was feeling, and the realisation that her wedding day was fast approaching and was everything she had hoped for!

All their guests had arrived by Friday and, as this was the first time both families had met, a pre wedding get together was planned at the Noosa Heads SLSC.

After a little scare of rain in the days before, Kelly and Nico woke to a beautiful Noosa Autumn day. After each having a relaxing morning with their own families, Kelly's pampering began with hair and makeup by Kim and Evalyn. Beautiful flowers were delivered by Liz from A Sculpted Leaf. Soon after Jodi McDonald arrived for photos and then we were on our way to the ceremony in a 1924 Delauge, lovingly restored by Kelly's Dad Brian and his Best Friend Jack.

Kelly and Nico's gorgeous ceremony was at 3pm at Access 15 on Noosa Main Beach. Father Jack officiated the ceremony, with Sista Strings complimenting the surrounds with background music and Noosa Wedding and Event Hire making this wedding beautiful with decorations.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cold drink with their photos, and were then visked away on awaiting buses while Kelly and Nico continued their photos on Noosa Main Beach, Little Cove and the National Park.

Guests arrived at The Plantation and were greeted by butlers with a tradional Chilean drink - the Pisco Sour - to incorporate Nico's culture into the celebration.

Soon after Kelly and Nico arrived from their photo's, and the reception could begin. Beautiful food and wine was enjoyed, and later in the night a wedding cake by Cake Conversations, and dancing by Atmosphere DJ's.

After their wedding, Kelly and Nico enjoyed a post wedding catch up with their family and friends before travelling to Fiji for their honeymoon and back home to Switzerland.

Kelly and Nico are a beautiful couple, and it was an absolute pleasure looking after them and their family and friends for their wedding. We wish you every happiness.
