Natalie and Heath were married in Noosa on Saturday 13th June 2009.
"Dear Corrine,
Thank you for helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives!
You precise organisation & calming presence ensured both Heath & I (and our parents J ) were relaxed & enjoyed every moment of our special day.
The planning leading up to the wedding was made fun & street-free & nothing was ever too much trouble for you. We made a request & you made it happen J Thank you!
Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, and are still talking about “The Wedding”.
Thank you for everything.
Love & hugs Heath & Natalie Dickson xxx"
After catching up again with Natalie and Heath for our final wedding run through and rehearsal, they settled in to a relaxing couple of days before their big day (especially Heath who was booked in for a massage straight after our rehearsal)!
On Friday, Natalie and Heath parted ways to spend some time with their family and bridal party. Heath and the boys had an early start to go on a Ocean fishing trip with Fishing Offshore Noosa (but i was told more beer drink was done than fishing!), whilst Natalie and the girls spent all day at Ikatan Balinese Day Spa having massages, pedicure's and manicure's (yes, all day - they were very lucky!).
After saying a small good bye to each other on Friday evening, a quiet night followed for both with family and their bridal party, to prepare for the excitment of the next day.
On Saturday we were blessed with a gorgeous Noosa winters day (in fact the whole week was like this). The sky was clear, the sun was warm, and only a slight breeze was felt over Noosa Main Beach. Natalie and Heath got ready for their wedding day separately, with Natalie and the girls being so lucky to be in a house in Upper Little Cove, with fantastic views over Laguna Bay.
The girls pampering started early, with Brie from Bella Amante (a friend of Natalie's) travelling from the Gold Coast to do all the girls hair and make up. Both hair and makeup were perfect, and suited the style of the dresses so well.
Just after lunch, Brad from Focus films arrived to capture the finishing touches of the girls hair and makeup. Louise from Mondo Floral Designs then arrived with the gorgeous bouquets.
It was then time for Natalie to dress. And what a dress it was!
After only speaking about Natalie's dress prior to the wedding, i had an idea of what to expect, however i was actually stunned when i saw this gorgous creation. Natalie's Dress was designed by Brad from Darb Bridal Couture and word's really can not describe how beautiful Natalie looked (so i will let Brad's pictures do the talking).
You could tell how happy Natalie was in her dress, especially when she would put on a big grin, and twist from side to side to see the dress spin out and make the "swooshing" noise (very cute!).
Natalie's bridesmaid's wore a beautiful purple floor length dress, and the colour of these dresses matched perfectly to Natalie's bouquet of purple tulips. And Natalie's mum wore a stunning two piece, knee lenth silver and navy blue dress suit which also complemented the colour theme for the wedding.
Soon after dressing, Natalie's father arrived to the house for photo's and to take his little girl to the ceremony. When he arrived, Brad and I were actually taking Natalie out for some photo's on the deck, but i knew that this was going to a special occasion, so as quickly as i could (given Natalie's dress) we came back in to the house so Don could see Natalie for the first time on her wedding day.
Now, i will be the first to admit that, normally i shed a tear or two at some point during the weddings, as the moments people share together are so special and emotional - you just can not help it! But i have to be honest and say that, at seeing Don's reaction to Natalie in her dress, the tears just poured out, to the point were i actually had to hide behind Brad to compose myself! It was truely such a touching moment and was so special to share.
After some happy tears, hugging and champagne to calm the excitement, we had more photo's around the Little Cove property before I had to pry Brad away from Natalie so he could go and take photographs of Heath at their Noosa Sound property, whilst Natalie, her parents and the girls enjoyed some quiet time before the ceremony.
Guests arrived to Hidden Grove on Noosa Main Beach for a 3.15pm ceremony. Natalie and her Dad, Don, arrived to the ceremony in a Rolls Royce Phantom, with the girls and Natalie's Mum Sherri arriving in a Bentley Arnage.
Natalie, Don and Bridesmaids Madeline, Ashlea and Sarah, walked down the aisle to The Urchins singing "Somewhere over the Rainbow/It's a Wonderful World" by Israel K, and a touching ceremony was delivered by Jacqui Gray.
Following the ceremony, and lots of hugs of congratulations (and more talking about the dress) guests were able to enjoy a light refreshment at a Hastings Street bar, whilst the Newlyweds and their bridal party had photo's along Main Beach and Hastings Street.
The reception was held at Sails Restaurant Noosa. Guests enjoyed gypsy style music by The Urchins , and then as a special treat for everyone, Melbourne Jazz musician Andy Pobjoy entertained guests with beautiful tunes (think Michael Buble and Frank Sinatra) on the Baby Grand piano which was especially brought in for the wedding.
Natalie and Heath wanted little personal touches throughout there wedding, including at the reception a willow tree with names hanging from the branches as a seating guide for guests, and then each place setting had a different, personalised poem or saying which Natalie and Heath wanted to be like a "Fortune Cookie" for each guest.
Speeches were made during the delicious three course meal, followed by wedding cake from Cake Conversations which guests could eat, or take home in cute little boxes.
After Natalie and Heath's first dance to "If this world were mine", and a father/daughter dance to "Butterfly Kisses", Andy opened up the Baby Grand so everyone could enjoy some dancing.
After the reception, Natalie and Heath made their way back to Little Cove, whilst some guests went to Laguna Jacks in Hastings Street to continue the celebrations.
The following day everyone was invited to Brunch at Bistro C as a final catch up before guests started to head back home.
Natalie and Heath were due to leave Noosa on the Wednesday, but as the weather was so good and they were enjoying their time in Noosa, they decided to stay in Noosa until the weekend, and then made their way home to the Gold Coast.
Natalie and Heath, you are such a beautiful couple and it was an absolute delight and pleasure to assist you, your family and friends for your wedding - thank you for letting me be a part of it. I wish you every happiness in your lives together. Corrine xo
